Reading Chiropractors

Reading Chiropractor: Andrew Green

“You are younger today than you will ever be again. Make use of it for the sake of tomorrow.”
Andy Green

People often ask me why I decided to become a Chiropractor. I first experienced chiropractic care myself four weeks before I was due to represent Great Britain at the Under-23 world rowing championships in 1992. I had suddenly felt an acute pain in my low back and was directed to a friend’s brother who happened to be a Chiropractor. He relieved my back pain, and got me back into the boat very quickly. Unfortunately we just missed out on a medal! After that moment I found out much more about the profession and had found my direction and career. Chiropractic is a health care profession where I can have a direct benefit on the health of my patients and their families.

When I am not at the clinic, then I am either found on the River Thames coaching rowing in Oxford, or I am out and about with my family. I have been passionate about Rowing for many years, and was lucky enough to win a bronze medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games Regatta, in Canada. I have been coaching at Headington School,Oxford, since 2001 and have produced a string of girls who have gone on to represent Great Britain at all levels. Needless to say their posture is very good in the boat, and their backs are finely tuned!
I have recently retired as Chief Coach of the Oxford University Womens Boat Club after three fantastic years running the program.  With a young family i just do not have time for them, Chiropractic and Rowing!

My wife, Laura, is also a chiropractor, and we have three fantastic little boys. Harry, Kaspar and Oskar are very fit and well and have always had regular treatment themselves. Harry was born seven weeks prematurely but was receiving some very gentle treatment while in the incubator. Laura and I have both seen the benefits of regular treatments to family, friends and patients of all ages from the very young to the elderly.

I see a lot of patients who have been “sweeping their problem under the carpet for years”, and have been crossing their fingers that their pain will disappear. Usually these people need a “first-aid approach” to ease their discomfort, but more importantly there is the need for education in exercises and advice on nutritional, lifestyle or ergonomic aspects that can all have a substantial effect on their well-being. We aim to improve the health of our patients, not just remove their pain!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Make the change today, give the clinic a call or email me using the link below and let's arrange a time to explore your options.

Laura Green Reading Chiropractor

Hello! I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1999.  Since then I have practised in Reigate, Stratford-upon-Avon, Woodstock and Abingdon.  This has given me a fantastic insight into different styles of practice and to what excites me as a Chiropractor.

I really enjoy treating all types of people, but the area that particularly interests me is the treatment of pregnant women and children.  As a Mum of three myself I can more than empathise with expectant Mum's aches, pains and worries.  As I have only recently joined my husband at our clinic here in Caversham i look forward to being the Family Chiropractor that people know in the area, and I look forward to meeting you!

Reading Chiropractor:  Elizabeth Archer

Elizabeth Archer Reading Chiropractor

My name is Elizabeth Archer and i graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.  I have been a long term admirer of chiropractic after receiving treatment at a young age for neck pain.  The instant relief and improvement in the quality of my life was dramatic.  This left me inspired and determined to help others.  I thoroughly enjoy treating a wide range of disorders and i particularly relish a challenge.  Over the past year i have been involved in helping a variety of sports teams from trampoline squads to athletics teams with their injuries and rehabilitation.  I understand the frustration of injuries to all of us.  For this reason i am not only keen on the treatment of all types of pain relief but also its prevention.
